Applegarth Holiday Cottage near Grosmont offers wonderful self catering accommodation in a picturesque area of North Yorkshire. We are based near the bustling seaside town of Whitby and just a short stroll from the North Moor Railway Station. Further afield you can visit lots of brilliant attractions in the area.

This charming cottage is great for a family or group getaway, sleeping up to 4 people. The cottage dates from the 1860s and now offers modern accommodation to suit all your needs. Unwind in the cosy sitting room that includes FreeSat TV and a toasty wood burner in the winter months. Rustle up some delicious dishes in the fully-equipped kitchen that includes a Neff oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher and a wood-burning stove. An additional fridge/freezer, iron and ironing board are in the walk-in pantry.

Two beautiful bedrooms are available, a twin and a double room. A foldout bed is also available for children. Both rooms share a bathroom with an electric shower over bath, plus a separate cloakroom/WC.

Outside there is a lawned garden with a patio area and seating for al fresco dining over a few glasses of wine.

We are in a great position for exploring the area, with a village centre, the station and the Co-Op just a 2-minute walkway. In Whitby, you relax on its gorgeous beaches or visit majestic Whitby Abbey. Excellent attractions to visit include:
