As members of The Retreat Association and The Quiet Garden Movement, they are dedicated to offering a space where guests can relax and unwind and recharge their spiritual batteries.

There are five individually decorated guest bedrooms available:

Whitby Room: Located on the ground floor, this dog-friendly room has a double bed and overlooks the garden. It features a spacious, light-filled environment and an en-suite bathroom with a large corner bath and shower.

Byland Room: A generously sized room with garden views and easy chairs that convert to single beds. It features a mahogany king-size sleigh bed and a private bathroom across the landing with a shower over the bath.

Fountains Room: The largest room, with dual aspects over the garden and lake, features a striking gold and white king-size bed and a large en-suite bathroom with both a bath and a separate shower cubicle.

Jervaulx Room: Bright and airy, overlooking the lake with white French-style furniture and a king-size bed. The private bathroom is just across a quiet corridor, featuring a shower over the bath.

Rievaulx Room: Featuring a Gothic-style wooden king-size bed with lake views, this room offers a private, light-filled bathroom across a quiet corridor, also with a shower over the bath.

Breakfasts have been described as sumptuous featuring a broad selection of quality, home made and locally sourced products. The cook to order breakfast menu is extensive, including a variety of fruits, continental meats, cheeses, fruit compotes, cereals, yogurts, porridge and fruit juices and a comprehensive range of cooked dishes, encompassing traditional, vegetarian and vegan options.

High Dalby House is perfectly situated for exploring local villages, forest trails, coastal areas, and the moors, as well as its own expansive 6 acres of grounds which includes woodlands and landscaped areas. Various retreats are on offer for those looking to deepen their spiritual journey, refresh their vision, enjoy the wonders of dark skies, be at home in nature to inspire their creativity.

Committed to environmental stewardship, the property has had solar panels, an EV charging point and low-energy lighting installed, and where possible single-use plastics have been reduced.
