Abbey Farm - Robin's Rest & Willows
Details
Abbey Farm Cottage is a ten-acre smallholding situated at the foot of Chimney Bank, on the edge of the village of Rosedale Abbey in the heart of the North York Moors National Park. It is home to Rosedale Goats' Cheese, raw goats’ drinking milk and goat meat, offering a unique and immersive countryside experience. Guests can take part in a variety of farm-based activities, including goat yoga, outdoor yoga sessions in the summer, cheese-making courses and other goat-related experiences such as bottle feeding during the spring and summer months. These activities provide a hands-on way to connect with the animals and enjoy the rural setting.
For those seeking a peaceful escape, the farm also offers luxury glamping in one of two bespoke shepherds huts, making it easy to combine relaxation with a memorable farm stay.
Robins Rest
Robins Rest is tucked away in a private, fully fenced paddock with beautiful views over the moors and a nearby reed bed. The shepherd’s hut is tastefully furnished, featuring an antique French double bedstead, while The Hide, a separate heated space, includes a kitchenette and dining area equipped with a small fridge freezer, double induction hob, kettle, toaster and all the necessary cooking and dining utensils. Guests have exclusive use of a luxury shower room in the farmhouse, fitted with a spacious walk-in rainfall shower. Outside, there’s a private wood-fired hot tub with scenic views, a wooden picnic bench, BBQ and a small bridge over the stream leading to a fire pit area with log seating. We welcome two well-behaved small to medium dogs in Robins Rest for a small additional charge and the paddock is designed to keep them safe and secure. If you’d like to bring the family, there’s also space to pitch a tent or two for an extra fee, with optional electric hook-up available.
Willows
Willows is a beautifully crafted bespoke shepherd’s hut, built by a local craftsman, that comfortably sleeps four. Inside, it features an antique double bedstead and a seating area that converts into a second double bed, along with a cosy log burner. Guests have access to a private shower room in the adjoining barn, complete with a spacious walk-in rainfall shower. Outside, the hut opens onto a fenced private patio garden with a wood-fired hot tub and a heated summerhouse, affectionately named Toad Hall. This charming space houses a fully equipped kitchen with a two-ring induction hob, fridge, toaster, microwave, kettle and a table with chairs. The gravel patio also includes a Weber kettle BBQ, fire pit and picnic table, all overlooking a tranquil duck pond, vegetable garden and newly planted orchard, with sweeping views across the North York Moors.
The hot tub is available for £50 for a 3 night stay.
Up to 2 small-medium well behaved dogs welcome by arrangement, £20 per dog, per stay.
Rates - From £100 to £150 per night.
We also have a self catering cottage available.
