Set in the North Yorkshire Moors National Park, the self catering holiday cottage overlooks the stunningly beautiful Harwood Dale. This peaceful haven is ideally situated to explore the lovely beaches of historic Whitby, Filey, Scarborough and Robin Hoods Bay. Inland there is Heartbeat Country with its steam railway, together with country houses to visit. For walkers footpaths radiate from the cottage, with wonderful landscapes throughout the Park.

Woodpeckers Cottage, which has a 3-star rating from VisitBritain, is a charming 3 bedroom semi-detached bungalow that sleeps 5 (double, twin and single rooms plus cot). The property is surrounded by farmland and has a large garden with a spacious gravel driveway. There are 2 small steps leading up to the front door but otherwise the cottage is flat throughout. The cottage has Freesat TV.

Woodpeckers Cottage is only a 15 minute drive from Scarborough itself, and about half an hour from Whitby and Robin Hoods Bay. On the days when you don't want to drive out, there are great walks from the door as well as beautiful areas to cycle or picnic. With so many things to do in the area, it is impossible to list them all, but here are a few favourites all within an hours drive.
