Low Costa Mill has seven family friendly holiday cottages sleeping between 1-8 guests, many of our cottages are pet friendly. Our cottages are fully equipped for your self catering break, most have an open log fire, cots and highchairs also available. Our facilities include an indoor heated swimming pool (open all year round), large play area, woodland and riverside walks, secure cycle storage & bike wash facilities, high speed wi-fi across the site, dedicated dog exercise paddock, EV charging point and guest laundry. Our friendly goats, sheep, chickens and cats are very entertaining. Our cottages are a fantastic base from which to explore North Yorkshire and the North York Moors.

Low Costa Mill is set in peaceful countryside, just a mile from the historic market town of Pickering. Pickering, known as ‘The gateway to the Moors’, is home to the North Yorkshire Moors Railway – a 24 mile steam railway running through the spectacular scenery of the North York Moors into historic Whitby. Pickering has a fabulous range of excellent shops, pubs and restaurants selling superb local produce. It is also home to a historic 13th-century castle, a Victorian museum and a Church packed with historic 15th Century wall paintings. Further afield, North Yorkshire has many hidden gems, including Dalby Forest, Castle Howard, Flamingo Land, Whitby, Scarborough, Helmsley and the historic City of York.

We are open all year, with weekly breaks on a Friday-Friday basis, in the off season we specialise in short breaks, with a minimum of 3 nights. Each season has new delights to offer.

Carters Cottage - Sleeps 2 Ideal cottage for couples. A comfortable and cosy, one-bedroomed ground floor cottage, next to the duck pond. Harvester Cottage - Sleeps 5 Spacious two-storey cottage with a dining area overlooking the play area. First Floor - twin bedroom, single bedroom, bathroom with WC.

Thresher Cottage - Sleeps 4. A cosy and comfortable, two-bedroomed cottage next to the swimming pool. Ground Floor - well equipped kitchen with dishwasher, microwave oven, lounge/dining room with log effect electric stove, colour TV & Blu-ray player, double bedroom, shower room with WC. First Floor - twin bedroom, bathroom with WC.

Leat Cottage - Sleeps 4 Very pretty, popular, pet free ground- floor cottage with wonderful views over stream and gardens. The Granary - Sleeps 6 A spacious, two-storey pet free cottage with an open-plan ground floor creating a generous kitchen and living area.
