Pennysteel Cottage offers delightful self catering accommodation in the fishing village of Staithes. Our fisherman’s cottage dates from the 18th Century and boasts stunning views over the harbour.

Our oak-beamed and wood-panelled cottage retains lots of original character whilst offering quality accommodation. Amazing views can be enjoyed from every room and the sun terrace.

Downstairs we have a fully equipped kitchen with a range of appliances: electric hob and cooker, microwave, fridge freezer and dishwasher. After a day exploring unwind in the lounge/dining room that comes with a log-burning stove and a TV/DVD/CD player. You can also relax on the sun terrace.

On the first floor, we have a master double room and a single bedroom, plus a separate toilet. The second floor has a twin attic bedroom and a bathroom with a shower over bath.

We are only 20 yards from a local public house that serves bar meals. In the village, there are two other pubs, cafes and restaurants, as well as The Staithes Heritage Museum and craft shops. You can explore the North Yorkshire coastline, including Whitby, Robin Hood’s Bay and Scarborough. Great attractions to visit include:

North Yorkshire Moors National Park.

Rievaulx Abbey.

Helmsley Castle.

Guisborough Priory.
