The Pack Horse Inn, Ellingham, Chathill, Northumberland
The Pack Horse Inn is located in Ellingham near Chathill and offers beautifully appointed bed and breakfast accommodation that is in a great location from which to explore this lovely part of Northumberland. Surrounded by pretty countryside, this English inn is a great place to stay for nightly breaks or longer stays.
At our inn, we have three double and two twin bedded guest rooms. Every room has a television, tea/coffee making facilities and an en suite shower room or bathroom with complimentary toiletries.
After a day out exploring you can relax by the fire in the pub and enjoy a delicious home cooked meal in our lovely restaurant. We’re open every day, lunch is served from Tuesday - Sunday between 12 and 2pm and dinner from 6pm to 9pm Monday to Saturday evenings. The restaurant is closed on Sunday evenings. Using local and seasonal produce all our food is freshly prepared by our award winning chef, Gabor Pusztai. We have our own vegetable garden here at The Pack Horse where we’re growing our own food specifically for our kitchen, all so we can provide the freshest food for you. Our menu changes daily so you won’t get bored with the same old thing and there’s always something different to try.
The Pack Horse Inn is dog friendly in the bar and in the snug which offers a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere. Regrettably, we cannot allow dogs into our restaurant. You can enjoy great food, drink and log fires, whether it’s for a special occasion or after a long day out walking in Northumberland.
This is the perfect base to explore the magnificent coast and countryside of Northumberland and the Scottish Borders. North Northumberland, the ‘Secret Kingdom’, is still largely undiscovered and yet it’s full of fascinating places to visit, with plenty to do for all the family. Listed below are just a few of the many places to visit during your stay. You will find activities to suit every taste from walking in the Cheviot Hills, golf (there are ten superb golf courses all within easy driving distance), river and sea fishing, cycling, bird watching, climbing the list is endless and you will always find something to entertain you on your visit to this magnificent area of the UK.
