Tarset Tor Bunkhouse & Bothy Holidays in Lanehead offers self catering accommodation, surrounded by countryside. We are based on the outskirts of Kielder Forest in a peaceful setting near Hexham. Further afield you visit a variety of attractions in Northumberland.

We have a range of eco-friendly accommodation to choose from, offering something for everyone. Our timber buildings are based in a woodland setting and are ideal for groups or backpackers. Facilities onsite include a BBQ and fire pit, cycle store and bike wash, pool table (additional fee), drying room, sauna (additional fee), bird hide, woodland bar, 5-a-side football pitch and hot tub hire.

Bunkhouse

Our bunkhouse sleeps up to 16/20 people in 4 rooms. The bunkhouse is a great social space and is also suitable for parties and conferences. Features include a shared kitchen//shower and lounge area. Outside there is a south-facing covered veranda, ideal for a glass of wine when the sun is shining.

Bothies

We offer a choice of three cosy bothies, ideal for couples or families seeking a unique countryside retreat. Each holiday home comfortably sleeps up to six guests, featuring a four-bed bunkroom and a king-size bed on the upstairs mezzanine. Designed for comfort year-round, the bothies are equipped with eco-friendly biomass central heating and a toasty warm stove. Outside, guests can enjoy a private outdoor space complete with a firepit and BBQ, perfect for relaxing evenings under the stars.

Explore Kielder Water and Kielder Forest Park or enjoy one of the cycle routes in the area, including the Kielder mountain bike trails, the Reivers Cycle Route and the 7Stanes network. Play on the nearby golf course or fish on the River Tyne. Attractions to visit include:
