Breamish Valley Cottages can be found in the tiny farming hamlet of Branton, nestled at the foot of the Cheviot Hills, yet only half an hour from the coast. Our cottages near Alnwick in Northumberland are perfect for a luxurious holiday away.

Our cottages were created from a range of stone farm buildings surrounding a sheltered and attractive courtyard. Great care was taken to preserve the original character of the buildings as well as meeting the requirements of a comfortable and relaxing holiday.

Traditional country furnishings have been used throughout and all cottages have modern, well equipped kitchens with an electric oven, microwave oven and dishwasher. The living areas are perfect for relaxing in and the bedrooms are ideal for a great night’s sleep. All the bathrooms are contemporary and facilities include Satellite TV, CD/radio, telephones, well stocked bookshelves, wood burning stoves and oil fired central heating.

After an exhilarating day in the fresh air, you may choose to take it easy in our private garden area, prolong your stay outdoors with a barbecue or play a friendly game or two on our all weather tennis court, putting green or croquet lawn. For youngsters with energy still to burn, there's a children's adventure playground, a games field and a games room where they can play pool, table tennis and table football or sit and watch television with their new friends.

Uncrowded in Summer months, many visitors are drawn back to enjoy the changing colours of autumn, savour the freshness of springtime or the invigorating pleasures of a Winter break. Quiet roads and country lanes offer easy walking and cycling, and a multitude of signed paths and long distance trails offer visitors a wide choice of routes through river valleys and over the hills to the Scottish border. Depending on your sporting interests, close to Branton you can find excellent trout and salmon fishing rivers, several pony trekking centres and numerous first class golf courses.
