Experience the charm of a staying in a converted farm smithy, now a cosy holiday cottage for two, The Smithy is located at the end of the Northumberland National Park and is perfectly situated for exploring the Cheviots and surrounding area.

The accommodation is all on the ground floor and there is a double bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, living room with TV and Bluetooth speaker, dining room and utility room perfect for outdoor gear. Enjoy free WiFi access throughout the cottage. Outside you can relax in your private sitting area within an enclosed shared courtyard.

One well-behaved dog is welcome for an additional £30 to cover cleaning costs. Please pay for your pet on arrival if booking online.

Fishing is available on our stretch of the River Till.

Our working farm is a short distance from the bustling market town of Wooler with its wide variety of shops, pubs and restaurants. The cottage is located almost equally between the market towns of Alnwick and Berwick upon Tweed – both fantastic destinations for keen shoppers and history buffs alike.

The farm is on the very edge of the Northumberland National Park with mile upon mile of well-marked routes through some of the most unspoilt countryside in England. A walk in the Cheviot Hills provides an opportunity of experiencing true wilderness where you are more likely to encounter a herd of wild goats than another person! Nearby walks to Linhope Spout and Routin Linn provide walks in beautiful scenery with fantastic waterfall side picnic spots at the end.
