Set in its own grounds in a picturesque rural location overlooking Marwick Bay in Birsay, Corkaquina is an authentic Orkney stone cottage with a rich history. Built over a century ago, it has been lovingly restored to preserve its original charm. The cottage retains its traditional stone walls and flagstone roof, while inside, exposed roof timbers, a stone chimney and flagstone flooring create a warm and inviting atmosphere. Modern comforts, such as cosy underfloor heating, ensure a comfortable stay.

The heart of the cottage is the open-plan living, dining and kitchen area, featuring a picture window that frames stunning views of Marwick Bay and its sunsets. The cottage includes a double bedroom in the “ben end,” a second bedroom with two bunk beds and a shower room. The outhouse provides a washroom with an automatic washing machine and storage for outdoor gear.
