Stromness is an artistic and cultural hub and home to the world-renowned Piers Arts Centre. You can visit lots of local art and craft artisans working in their shops along the street.

The wonderful new library is set in the newly renovated harbour where you can enjoy the sea traffic or a savour a meal at Julia’s Bistro. Stromness Golf club is an 18 hole links course which boasts stunning views across to Hoy. Sea fishing trips, angling in the lochs, guided walking tours, seal watching, puffin spotting, twitching and swimming are available too.
