Located in the village of Dounby, Kringla Apartments offers luxury self-catering accommodation in the heart of Orkney. Ideally situated near Twatt, our modern apartments provide the perfect base for exploring Orkney’s dramatic coastline, historic sites and stunning countryside. Designed for comfort and convenience, Kringla Apartments combine high-quality interiors with a peaceful rural setting, making them ideal for couples, families and business travellers. With easy access to local attractions, walking routes and cultural landmarks, our accommodation is perfectly positioned for discovering everything Orkney has to offer.

We have three apartments to choose from, all based in a tranquil countryside setting. Each apartment is tastefully furnished and comes with a cosy living area with a flat screen TV and comfy seating, plus a well-equipped kitchen including a dishwasher, microwave, pyrolytic oven, ceramic hob, fridge and freezer. You can enjoy some delicious meals around the dining table. The apartments share a picnic area.

The apartments also have comfortable memory foam mattresses, plus linen and towels. A high chair, travel cot and buggy are available on request.

Kringla Apartment 1

The apartment comes with two bedrooms: one double and one twin which share a shower room with a walk-in shower.

Kringla Apartment 2

Our spacious apartment sleeps 5 in one double and one twin/triple room. The rooms share a shower with a walk-in shower.

Kringla Apartment 3

The apartment enjoys farmland and moorland views. Inside there is 1 king and 1 twin/triple room that share a shower room with a large walk-in shower.

Visiting the Area

The Orkney Islands has lots to do and see, including seeing its Neolithic history at Skara Brae, Maes Howe, Standing Stones of Stenness, Ness of Brodgar and the Ring of Brodgar. Both Kirbister and Corrigall Farm Museum are in west mainland Orkney, whilst island hopping is available by ferry. Attractions to visit include:

Yesnaby Castle sea stack.

Scapa Flow.

Old Man of Hoy.
