Originally constructed in the 1800s during the height of the herring fishing boom, the Fish Mart once served as a bustling marketplace for local fishermen. Located at the end of the Stronsay pier where the ferry docks, this heritage building has been thoughtfully transformed into a modern café and hostel, blending its rich history with contemporary comfort.
The hostel features four en-suite bedrooms, accommodating up to 10 guests, including a family room and a twin room with disabled access. Guests can also enjoy a shared open-plan recreation, kitchen and dining area, providing budget-friendly self-catering accommodation. The attached café serves freshly prepared cakes, bakes and light meals.

For larger groups, the family room and disabled-access twin room have a separate lockable door, allowing exclusive use for up to six people.
