Red Kite Cottage & Abbey Farm Glamping are nestled within a beautiful part of Oxfordshire, on a 270-acre farm just outside the quiet market town of Thame at North Weston. Our accommodation is only minutes from Junctions 7 & 8 of the M40 it is extremely well suited to anyone wishing to get away for that idyllic, tranquil break be it for a short stay or longer.

Guests can choose from one of three properties on the farm, a family-friendly holiday cottage and two shepherd huts which are perfect for couples on a romantic holiday.

Red Kite Cottage: Great care and attention have been put into every part of this carefully designed cottage. It has been recently refurbished and finished to a high standard, ensuring guests have a place to stay that is comfortable, relaxing and high spec. It is perfect for a family of 4, but if you have an extra child or two or perhaps an overnight visitor, then the sofa bed can be used. Cottage amenities and features include:

Underfloor heating on the ground floor.

Open plan living space with beautiful wooden beams.

Cosy lounge area.

Dining table for up to 6 guests.

Well equipped, country style kitchen.

Master bedroom with double bed.

Second bedroom with twin beds.

TV & DVD player.

Wi-Fi internet access.

Outside is plenty of space for children to play and adults to relax. A BBQ is provided for those warmer days when you want to enjoy cooking in the warm sun.

Kites Nest Shepherds Hut: A lovely glamping experience, we have ensured that our 2 huts combine the best bits from a camping style holiday, alongside the luxuries of a self catering break. Each hut sleeps 2 people and are set amongst a woodland plantation and looks towards the nearby Chiltern Hills. The huts are self-contained, heated and insulated, ensuring it is an all-year-round place to stay. Amenities and features include:

Seating/dining area.

En suite shower room.

Fully equipped kitchen.

Pull-down bed from the end wall.

Bed linen and towels are included.

Outside is a lawn area, with table and chairs and a chiminea for outside cooking or heating and a plentiful supply of logs.

Once at the farm you will find a footpath and bridleway a few hundred yards away, a cycle path at the farm entrance which links to the Phoenix Trail cycle route and private walks and fishing along the River Thame that runs through the farm, there is much to enjoy on your doorstep. Whilst a car is handy for visits to nearby attractions such as:

Waddesdon Manor.

Blenheim Palace.

Chiltern Open Air Museum.

There is plenty of public transport on hand. You can enjoy a rural location with the bonus of a bus stop at the end of the drive for Oxford, Thame or Aylesbury. Hardenham train station is a few minutes’ drive and has regular trains to London Marylebone, Bicester, Banbury or Warwick.
