The Dinas Castle Inn
Details
The Dinas Castle Inn offers comfortable hostel-style accommodation and great food in the village of Pengenffordd, set within the heart of the Brecon Beacons National Park. As the highest pub in the park, it enjoys far-reaching views across the surrounding hills and countryside, creating a memorable backdrop for any stay. Ideally located for visiting Talgarth and exploring the many attractions of Powys, the inn is well suited to a wide range of guests, including stag and hen groups, bikers, corporate stays, military team-building breaks and Duke of Edinburgh expeditions.
The bunkhouse includes three rooms that can accommodate groups of 10 or 12 guests in bunk beds, along with a separate hayloft room featuring a double bed and an additional set of bunk beds. In addition to the bunkhouse, B&B accommodation and a campsite are also available on site, offering flexible options to suit a range of stays.
You can relax with a drink or two around the log fire in the bar. There is also a pool table and a range of board games are available. In the summer months, enjoy a drink in the large beer garden.
We offer delicious home-cooked food from 6 pm – 9 pm in the evening. Our speciality is steaks, served on a hot rock.
Our inn is situated between the towns of Crickhowell and Talgarth, making us a great place for exploring the area. You can also visit Brecon, Abergavenny and Hay-on-Wye. Lots of activities can be enjoyed in the area, including horse riding, climbing, canoeing and kayaking. Attractions to visit include:
Pwll y Wrach Nature Reserve.
Bronllys Castle.
National Showcaves Centre for Wales.
Llangorse Lake.
Pistyll Rhaeadr Waterfall.
