Celtic Camping offers comfortable sole use bunkhouse accommodation in Berea, St Davids, Pembrokeshire and spacious campsite for individuals, families and groups.
Based on the National Trust working farm of ‘Pwll Caerog’, just 4 miles of the City of St Davids, you will receive the warmest of welcomes and enjoy this spectacular location overlooking the ocean.
It provides easy access to Aberieddy beach, the Blue Lagoon, Pembrokeshire Coastal path and surrounding areas. It is an ideal base for Walkers, Kayakers, Coasteerers, Climbers, well in fact anyone that enjoys the sea air and spectacular views.
The bunkhouses are a series of converted farm buildings offering basic, yet comfortable and affordable accommodation. They are rented on a sole use basis, so no sharing with other groups, the ‘Small bunkhouse’ sleeps up to 12, ‘Ivy Lodge’ sleeps up to 14 and the ‘Big bunkhouse’ can accommodate up to 24 all within smaller bedrooms. Each Bunkhouse has a lounge area with dining and cooking facilities, equipped with cooker, microwave, fridge and utensils. Pillow, quilt and linen are provided for your comfort and ease.
Catering packages are available which are homemade from locally sourced produce, often directly from the farm.
To the lower end of the site there is a series of ‘Dormitory style’ rooms, perfectly suited for larger groups. These can accommodate groups of up to 120 with exclusively use at this end of the farm, with 250 acres to play with, there is plenty of room.
Celtic Camping and Bunkhouse also offers a choice of modern shower and toilet blocks with disabled facilities, spacious indoor areas for wet weather days, separate facilities for large groups for exclusive use.
The options at Celtic Camping are never ending, it works well as schools, university groups, art colleges and corporate groups tend to use the bunkhouse during the week, stag and hen groups/activity enthusiasts tend be here for the weekends, whilst families, scouts and walkers visit during holiday periods.
Outdoor pursuit’s enthusiasts and Stag / Hen Groups often link up with local Outdoor Activities Specialists for some added fun. Whether it is for a spot of Coasteering, Kayaking, Climbing, Paintball, Celtic Camping’s bunkhouses are perfectly located, whatever the weather! There is even the small beach of ‘Aber Pwll on the farm, a lovely place to spot some seals or watch the sunset.
Barbecue sets, outdoor seating, fire pits, charcoal and logs are plentiful across the site. Spacious parking areas provide additional storage areas from boats, minibuses and allow access for coach drop off and collection.
Large groups of 100-250 people are able to book exclusive use of the entire complex of campsite, bunkhouses and dormitories at certain times of the year. College, schools, church and scout groups in particular have enjoyed this facility.
