Newholme Self Catering
Details
Newholme is a self-catering bungalow situated in a quiet area close to the Pitlochry's main street in Perthshire. Only a minute’s walk from the town centre, you’ll have swift access to good local restaurants and pubs, which are in plentiful supply.
Our two-bedroom self catering bungalow is ideal for two to four people. It features one double room and one twin room, with the option to accommodate a fifth guest in the twin room on a sturdy guest bed for an additional charge. This cosy and practical layout makes it perfect for families or small groups.
The bungalow includes a fully fitted kitchen with a dining table and chairs, providing everything needed to store, prepare, cook and serve meals. The kitchen is equipped with a microwave, cooker, fridge, freezer, washing machine and dishwasher, ensuring convenience for longer stays.
The spacious and elegantly furnished lounge offers a comfortable space to unwind, complete with a television, DVD player, radio and CD player for your entertainment. It’s the perfect spot to relax after a day of exploring the area.
The bathroom is fitted with a bath and an electric shower above, offering guests a choice of a refreshing shower or a relaxing soak. The property also features both a front and back garden, adding to its appeal. Being on a single level, Newholme is easily accessible for those with mobility challenges, making it a welcoming option for all guests.
Gas central heating, electricity, bed linen, and towels are included in the rate, which is calculated on a weekly basis from Saturday to Saturday. Short breaks are available out of season, providing flexible options for a getaway. Families with small children are especially welcome, with a cot and highchair provided. Nearby attractions include a play park, Loch Faskally for feeding ducks or hiring boats for fishing, and a small putting green at the other end of town, ensuring plenty of activities for all ages to enjoy.
Pitlochry’s most famous attraction is the Dam and Fish Ladder, which allows the salmon to swim upstream from the River Tummel to Faskally Dam. You can view this phenomenon, as well as learn more at the visitor's centre.
If you’re looking for accommodation for a busy period, perhaps during Pitlochry’s Highland games, the Etape Caledonia Cycle Challenge, or a season of entertainment at the renowned Pitlochry Festival Theatre, it’s best to book your accommodation in advance to avoid disappointment. After all, every year tens of thousands of visitors make their way to this stunning part of Scotland.
