Hendre Farmhouse offers wonderful self catering accommodation in Llanynis near Builth Wells. Our tastefully converted barn in Powys is close to the River Irfon and perfect for an idyllic break away.
This charming property has a spacious sitting room with TV, DVD player and wood burning stove. Doors open onto the garden and terrace. There is also a family/study room with a 2nd TV and a futon. The kitchen/dining room is fully equipped and comes with an electric cooker, microwave oven, fridge/freezer and dish washer.
Upstairs there are two double en suite rooms and 2 twin rooms. The twin rooms share a bathroom. All linen is provided.
Outside is small terrace with garden furniture and a BBQ. This is the perfect place for a spot of al fresco dining.
A five minute walk across the fields takes you to the River Irfon and on the riverbank. The Irfon is famous for its trout and grayling fishing and a small salmon run in late summer/early autumn. The Church is reputed to be where Prince Llewellyn,the last Welsh Prince of Wales prayed the night before he died in battle with the English.
Pony trekking, golf and tennis courts are available nearby and there is an indoor swimming pool in Builth Wells. It is an easy half an hour drive to Hay on Wye, the Black Mountains, Brecon Beacons and the Elan Valley Dams at Rhayader.
