Camping at Ynysfaen in Cwmwysg is perfect for a wonderful camping, touring or glamping holiday. Based near Trecastle in a scenic area of Powys, we are perfect for a magical holiday.

Our family-run campsite is a haven for country lovers looking for somewhere special to stay. We are ideal for the ultimate digital detox, with no mobile phone signal or Wi-Fi. We are surrounded by glorious countryside and you can wake to the sounds of the babbling River Usk, or to the gentle clucking of the chickens.

Camping/Campervan Pitches

Our camping fields offer plenty of space, perfect for a peaceful break. You can choose to pitch by river or by the bottom of the field. Please note that the camping pitches do not have any EHU (Electric Hook Up) other than our specified camper van /Tent pitches. We also have four campervan pitches that all have Electric Hook Up (EHU).

New for 2022, we also have added our electric hook up camping pitches, based at the bottom of the field. This area is only reserved for electric hook up tent camping only. Facilities for campers include 3 toilets, 3 showers, an American style fridge freezer and washing up facilities.

Shepherds Hut:

This gorgeous bespoke shepherd’s hut has been beautifully hand-crafted to offer fabulous accommodation. Inside there is a fully enclosed kitchen that includes a three-hob gas burner, small fridge, all crockery and cooking utensils and running water. There’s also a toasty wood burner for the winter months. Outside there is a table and chairs, great for a coffee in the afternoon sun.

Rates: £12 per person per night under 5 free of charge

The campervan / electric camping pitches are £35 per night for two people, above two people is £12pppn.

Do not charge extra for awnings or gazebos, shepherds hut is £75 for 2 adults only no dogs allowed.

£2 per dog per night. Limit on dogs and on leads at all times.
