Life House in Llanbister offers outstanding self catering accommodation, set amidst the gorgeous Welsh Hills. Our house has been stylishly designed by John Pawson to offer serenity and reflection, perfect for the ultimate retreat in Powys.

Our beautifully crafted house boasts a timeless example of architectural simplicity and beauty, perfect for a tranquil country escape. Nestle in a secluded hillside setting, we are the perfect place to escape from the pressures of modern life. The house offers an array of classic and bespoke pieces of furniture throughout, ideal for relaxation and comfort.

This one-level, spacious house stretches across the landscape and enjoys glorious countryside views. Inside there is a labyrinthine of spaces to unwind and contemplate in. Enjoy some home cooking in the timber-lined kitchen and savour some delicious meals in the dining area. The spacious sitting room comes with a toasty wood burner for those chill days.

In total, there are 3 individual bedrooms, including a library bedroom adorned with eastern and western literature; a music room offering a thoughtful selection of CDs; and a bathing bedroom with a bathing platform including an inset bath to soak yourself in.

A range of reflection areas can be enjoyed, including a cavernous chamber, a retractable glazed roof and an outdoor area.

The local area has an abundance of gorgeous countryside to enjoy, perfect for walkers and cyclists. You can enjoy some excellent food at The Lion Hotel in Llanbister or Llangoed Hall in Llyswen. Walk along Offa’s Dyke Path or fish at Spring Rock Fishery. Superb attractions to visit include:
