Aberbran Fawr Campsite in Brecon is a family-friendly site set within four acres of beautiful countryside, offering stunning views in the heart of the Brecon Beacons. Ideal for campers of all ages, the site provides a relaxing base whether you’re travelling with a tent, touring caravan, or motorhome, with well-maintained facilities available to all guests.
The Riverbank area features 22 pitches, seven with electric hook-ups and fifteen non-electric, suitable for both caravans and tents. Guests have access to clean shower and toilet facilities, including a family and disabled room with ramp access, as well as a dedicated wash area with hot and cold water for cooking utensils. A children’s play area adds to the appeal, allowing families to unwind while enjoying the peaceful surroundings. The campsite sits right beside the River Usk, offering a tranquil riverside setting.
The Meadow provides a further 25 non-electric pitches, ideal for traditional camping. Like the Riverbank, it benefits from excellent shared facilities, including accessible shower and toilet blocks, a washroom area and a play space for children, all within easy reach of the scenic River Usk.
Across the campsite, guests can enjoy a range of thoughtful amenities, including heated shower and toilet blocks with free hot water, shaver points, hand dryers, a family bathroom, wheelchair-accessible facilities and an information area full of local ideas and inspiration. Fire pits are also available to hire, perfect for cosy evenings outdoors.
During the summer months, the on-site farm shop, open from June to August, offers a selection of pick-your-own fruit and vegetables, along with fresh farm produce, homemade cakes, cream teas and a variety of hot and cold drinks, adding an extra touch to your countryside stay.
Aberbran, near Brecon, is perfectly placed for exploring some of the most stunning landscapes and attractions within the Brecon Beacons National Park. Just a short drive away, the market town of Brecon offers independent shops, cafés and access to the scenic Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal, ideal for peaceful walks or boat trips. Outdoor enthusiasts can head to Pen y Fan for breathtaking hikes and panoramic views, while nature lovers will enjoy the beautiful waterfalls at Sgwd yr Eira. For a more relaxed day out, visit Talybont Reservoir, perfect for cycling, picnics and wildlife spotting. With its mix of mountains, waterways and charming towns, the area around Aberbran offers something for everyone to enjoy.
