The Arches is the fully self contained ground floor apartment of our house on the outskirts of Builth Wells which has safe and private off road parking for vehicles. It is surrounded by gardens and overlooks the town, with the hills and mountains beyond.

There are two twin bedrooms with private bathrooms (each with toilet, basin, bath and shower), a large living/kitchen area, and separate entrance porch. All rooms are newly decorated and furnished to a very high standard.

The fully equipped kitchen has an eye level cooker with separate hob, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, washing machine and toaster. There is a small freezer in the hallway.

There is comfortable seating in the living area, together with TV/DVD and lovely views of the garden and beyond. ‘Wifi’ is available and a ‘full’ sky TV package is also provided. Guests have the use of part of the garden, which includes a patio with seating, and use of barbecue.

The self catering apartment is within easy walking distance of the Royal Welsh Showground and the town centre where there are plenty of pubs, some of which serve food, and an Indian restaurant.

There are a number of excellent golf courses in the area and we also have easy access to the Wye Valley walk

The Arches is a five minute walk to the centre of Builth, a small market town on the upper reaches of the Wye Valley. This is an ideal base from which to choose a wide range of walking and off road cycling routes, as well as canoeing or fishing on the River Wye, or horse riding in the hills.

Ten minutes walk is the Royal Welsh Showground, just across the river at Llanelwedd. Apart from being home to one of the largest agricultural shows in Europe in July, it hosts many other regular events.

There are many other places of interest in the Builth Wells area, and numerous good hotels and pubs for eating out, but best of all you will find great scenery, no traffic jams and a sensible pace of life.
