Coldingham Loch Holiday Cottages offers a selection of self-catering holiday cottages and outstanding fly fishing, all set within a private estate in a stunning coastal location in the Scottish Borders. Open year-round, our accommodation includes three traditional stone cottages and three cosy wooden cabins, each well-equipped and comfortably furnished for a relaxing stay. Situated in a peaceful, secluded setting, every cottage features its own outdoor seating area to enjoy the tranquillity and local wildlife, along with private parking for up to two cars. Five of our six cottages are dog-friendly (excluding Lochside Cottage) and we welcome dogs at no extra charge, making Coldingham Loch the perfect destination for a relaxing countryside retreat with your pet.

Lochside Cottage - Sleeps 4

Lochside Cottage is a refurbished, Victorian boathouse that sits directly over the loch and includes its own boat moored beneath. This holiday cottage sleeps 3 to 4 guests across two bedrooms - one double, one single, with an additional sofa bed in the lounge. The open-plan kitchen and lounge area features a wood-burning stove and double doors leading to a balcony overlooking the water. The cottage also includes a shower room, LPG central heating, gas cooker, fridge with freezer compartment, microwave, TV for DVD use only (no live TV) and a DAB radio. Outside, guests can enjoy a private garden with decking and parking for up to three cars. Just a short walk behind the cottage leads to the coastal path, offering access to dramatic cliffs and breathtaking scenery. Lochside Cottage is under 50 square metres, so no EPC rating is required. Lodge Cottage - Sleeps 6

Lodge Cottage is a traditional whitewashed property that once served as the gatehouse to the old estate, located at the entrance of the site. This single-storey cottage sleeps up to six guests in three bedrooms, one double and two twins and features a separate lounge with an open fire (wood available at cost), electric radiators and a bathroom with underfloor heating and a shower over the bath. The well-equipped kitchen includes an electric cooker, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, TV with DVD and a CD/radio. Outside, guests can relax in the garden seating area and there is parking available for two to three cars. STL licence number SB-00676-F. EPC rating: G.

Stable Cottage - Sleeps 5

Stable Cottage once housed horses and now forms one end of a long stone building. Retaining original features such as working sash windows with shutters, the cottage offers charm alongside modern comforts, including full central heating and a wood-burning stove in the bright, comfortable lounge. Upstairs are two bedrooms in the eaves, one with a king-size bed and the other with a double and a single bed, accommodating up to five guests (please note, taller guests may need to duck and the steep stairs may not suit those with mobility issues). The bathroom is located downstairs and includes a small bath with a shower overhead. The spacious kitchen-diner is well-equipped with a double electric oven, large fridge-freezer and dishwasher. Guests can enjoy WiFi and a smart TV, a sunny and private patio area and access to a southwest-facing lawned garden within a walled area. There is also a large open-ended storage space for bikes, fishing gear and firewood. STL licence number SB-00675-F. EPC rating: G.

Hawthorn Chalet - Sleeps 2

Hawthorn Chalet is ideal for couples or two adults and is the smallest of our chalets. Tucked away in a quiet, sunny corner of the site, it offers privacy and warmth year-round, with electric heaters, full insulation and double glazing. The chalet sleeps up to three guests in one double bedroom and one single room and features an open-plan kitchen, dining and lounge area with a wood-burner effect electric heater. Additional amenities include an electric cooker, fridge with ice-box, microwave, TV with DVD and a modern shower room. Outside, there is a seating area at the front of the chalet and parking for up to two cars. STL licence number SB-00679-F. Hawthorn Chalet is under 50 square meters and therefore does not require an EPC rating.

Elm Chalet - Sleeps 4

Elm Chalet is the largest of our chalets, located to the right of the entrance drive and enjoying a sunny position with a lawned area in front. Fully insulated and equipped with electric heaters, it offers a warm and cosy retreat year round. The chalet sleeps up to four guests in two bedrooms, one double and one twin and features an open-plan kitchen, dining and lounge area, along with a modern shower room. The kitchen includes an electric cooker, fridge, dishwasher, microwave and TV with DVD. During the warmer months, guests can relax or dine outdoors on the front decking area with table and chairs, while enjoying views of the surrounding wildlife. Parking is available for up to two cars directly outside. STL licence number SB-00678-F. Elm is less than 50 square meters & so no EPC rating required.

Sunnyside Chalet - Sleeps 4

This peaceful chalet is tucked away in a quiet corner of the site near Hawthorn and features its own fenced garden, a sunny south-facing aspect and private parking for up to three cars. Ideal for wildlife lovers, guests can enjoy a wide variety of birdlife right from the open-plan kitchen, dining and lounge area. The chalet sleeps up to four people in two bedrooms, one double and one twin and includes electric radiators, a shower room and a well-equipped kitchen with an electric cooker, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher and TV with DVD. Outside, there's a seating area at the front of the chalet, perfect for relaxing in the sun.

The Loch

As one of Scotland’s longest-established fisheries, it’s renowned for offering exceptional fly fishing in a peaceful and picturesque setting. Whether you're here for a relaxing getaway, a serious fishing trip, or both, Coldingham Loch provides a unique experience, made even better by the welcome absence of biting midges.
