Duns Castle Cottages offers wonderful self catering accommodation in Duns. Located in a truly stunning setting at Duns Castle Estate in the Scottish Borders, we are perfect for an idyllic holiday. Special outdoor activities onsite include falconry, fishing, archery, clay pigeon shooting and off-road driving.

Our cottages are nestled in a glorious location which is steeped in Scotland’s rich history. We are a great place to stay for families, couples, walkers, fisherman and golfers. Guests have access to the superb grounds, including a lake and a nature reserve.

North Lodge: This charming lodge dates from 1820 and boast many original features, including stripped shutters and a private Belvedere garden which enjoys views over Duns and the Cheviot hills. The bungalow sleeps up to 4 people in a double and a twin. Both rooms share a bathroom. A well-equipped kitchen comes with a range of appliances to suit all your need. The living room comes with a TV and DVD player. Outside there is an enclosed dog run in the courtyard.

Pavilion Lodge: This magical stone-built lodge sit at the base of the high stone archway over the drive and located next to the drive. On the ground floor there is a living room, kitchen and bathroom. The first floor has a double room and a cosy living room with an open fire. Outside there is a seating area with furniture.

Azalea Cottage: This cottage is a former gardener’s dwelling and dates from the 19th Century. Bedrooms consist of a double en suite room and a twin. A bathroom with a shower over the bath is also available. Outside there is a garden area with seating.

Coach House: Our quirky period property is adjacent to St Mary’s House but comes with its own entrance and garden area with seating. On the ground floor there is a dining room/kitchen and a bathroom. The first floor has a living room and a single bedroom which leads to a double bedroom. Outside there is a seating area with garden furniture.

Cedar Cottage: This four bedroom bungalow sleeps up to 7 people and comes with its own garden beside the historic walled garden. The bungalow enjoys views over the lush fields. On the ground floor there is a living room, a second sitting room, kitchen and four bedrooms: a double, twin, a 5ft room with en suite facilities and a single. There is also a family bathroom.

Carriage Mews: Our first floor property comes with delightful views over the gardens and forms a wing of the courtyard. Inside the property there is a living room, dining room/kitchen and 3 bedrooms: a double, twin and a single. The bathroom comes with an electric shower over the bath.

Accommodation is also available in our castle which sleeps up to 23 people.
