Larch Green Lodges
Details
Larch Green Lodges offers the perfect relaxing holiday escape for couples and families, combining luxury, eco-friendly, self-catering accommodation with breathtaking panoramic views of the River Clyde Estuary and Ben Lomond. Situated in the Renfrewshire countryside yet just 15 minutes from Glasgow Airport, the lodges provide a peaceful retreat with convenient access to a wide range of nearby activities, making it an ideal base for exploring both nature and city attractions.
Fox and Pheasant Lodge are two completely separate but nearly identical lodges, each offering a comfortable and stylish retreat. Both lodges feature two double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, fully fitted kitchens and open-plan living areas designed for relaxation and ease. Each bedroom opens onto its own decked balcony, which leads to the garden and offers stunning panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. In the garden, guests can unwind in a private hot tub, cook up a feast on the BBQ, or gather around the fire pit under the stars. On cooler evenings, you can light the wood-burning stove inside or coorie up outside around the fire pit with warm, cosy blankets, making it a perfect spot to relax whatever the weather.
Buzzard Lodge is designed as a romantic hideaway for couples. With the same spectacular views, this cosy lodge offers an open-plan interior complete with a wood-burning stove and fully equipped kitchen. Outside, there's a private decked area with a fire pit, BBQ and a hot tub for two, ideal for a peaceful escape in nature.
Adding to the charm of Larch Green Lodges are the seven adorable on-site alpacas, which guests can interact with through a range of optional extra experiences. These animals are a favourite among visitors and bring a unique, memorable touch to any stay.
Sustainability is at the heart of Larch Green Lodges. The lodges are powered by air source heat pumps, which reduce electricity consumption by up to 75% and thermal panels on the roof help heat water efficiently. The green roofs, planted with sedum, not only enhance the look of the lodges but also support local wildlife like birds, bees and butterflies, while helping to manage heavy rainfall by absorbing and slowly releasing water. A rainwater harvesting tank is in place, with plans to use it for flushing toilets in the near future, further reducing water consumption. We have a silver award for being eco-friendly.
The lodges also connect directly to a network of local footpaths, offering guests a chance to explore the beautiful surrounding countryside on foot and truly immerse themselves in the peaceful, natural environment. There is plenty to see and do in the area, including:
Paisley Abbey.
Weaver's Cottage (National Trust for Scotland).
Finlaystone Country Park.
Coats Observatory.
Clydebank Museum.
