Gardiesfauld Youth Hostel offers comfortable accommodation located on the northern isle of Unst on the Shetland Islands. We provide superior accommodation and superb facilities that are perfect for families and large groups.

We offer a total of thirty-five beds at the hostel. There are four dorms available with some offer en suite bathrooms and disabled facilities. The dorms are set out as follows:

One dorm with eleven bed.

Two dorms with six beds.

Two dorms with five beds.

One dorm with two beds.

There are three public coin-operated showers and three public toilets for guests to share.

The kitchen area is fully equipped with all of the facilities you will need. The kitchen offers tea, coffee, kettle, cooker, microwave, toaster, cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery. There is also a dining area.

There is a large laundry room with coin-operated facilities as well as an indoor and outdoor drying area.

Guests have the use of the lounge and conservatory area where there is plenty of comfortable seating. This is the perfect place to enjoy a drink whilst getting to know the other guests. 

There are numerous things to do in the local area including visiting one of the two national nature reserves. The area is home to puffins, seabirds and ponies so animal lovers will love to go wildlife spotting. Guests can also enjoy walking, exploring the beach and visiting the nearby towns.

Rates: From £16 per adult per night and from £8 per child per night. Camping is available in the garden from £6 per adult per night and from £2 per child per night. £20 for motorhome with hook up.
