North Dale Self Catering offers charming accommodation in the ground of a working croft in Haroldswick. Based near Unst on the Shetland Islands, we are the perfect place to escape from the pressures of modern life.

Our cosy detached cottage dates back from the 19th Century and has been beautifully renovated to offer quality accommodation. Lovely features include an original staircase and gorgeous roof beams, providing the house with a unique character. Throughout the property, you can savour stunning views.

Inside there is a well-equipped kitchen/dinner with a range of appliances for home dining. Unwind in the delightful sitting room which comes with a smart TV. Additionally, there is a utility room.

In total, the cottage sleeps 6 in two doubles and one twin room. All bed linen and towels are provided. The newly fitted bathroom comes with a shower.

Outside there is a large garden to unwind in when the sun is shining.

We are close to all the amenities, with a local shop just a 10-minute walk away. Head to Victoria’s vintage team room and gift shop, just a short walk or drive away. Sample some indulgent homemade cakes and savour the amazing views. Learn about local history at the Unst Heritage Centre and Unst Boat Haven, or visit the scenic Hermaness Nature Reserve, home to gorgeous coastal walks and beaches. The village of baltasound also has a swimming pool, bakery, 3 shops and a public bar.
