Caynham Forge provides charming self catering in the delightful village of Caynham, set in the heart of the gorgeous South Shropshire Hills. Based near Ludlow in a tranquil location, we are the perfect place to escape from the hustle and bustle of modern life.

Our recently renovated cottage now offers quality accommodation brimming with character, ideal for the ultimate country escape. The cottage is tastefully furnished and comes with a range of facilities to suit all your needs.

Inside the cottage, there is a cosy living room with comfy seating, a smart TV, DVD player and a toasty wood burner for those chilly days. You can also unwind in the lovely snug which boasts Cole & Sons eclectic wallpaper and a leather sofa that can be turned into a bed.

Rustle up some delicious meals in the well-equipped kitchen which has a fully equipped kitchen with an oven, microwave, fridge, drinks cooler, induction hob, dishwasher, crockery and cooking implements, plus a full-length window that boasts amazing views of the fields. A useful laundry room is also available.

Upstairs there are two comfortable bedrooms, a king room and a twin room. Both have been elegantly decorated with Farrow & Ball paint, complimented by fabulous oak flooring and stylish rugs. All the rooms include luxurious bed linen and en suites with a rain shower. The master bedroom also includes a bath.

Outside there is a lovely patio with outside seating and a gas/charcoal BBQ for al fresco dining over a few glasses of wine. The fields surrounding the Forge are available to walk and play in.

You can visit the village’s wonderful landmark, Caynham Camp, a large Bronze Age/Iron Aged earthwork which offers outstanding views from the summit. Only 3 miles away is the medieval town of Ludlow, famous for its Michelin-starred restaurants, cafes, teashops, pubs, inns and shopping opportunities. Superb attractions to visit include:
