The Old Shippon - Sleeps 8 – 10

As soon as you step into The Old Shippon, you're greeted by a spacious kitchen/diner with open ceilings and original exposed beams. The well-equipped kitchen includes an electric double oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher, washer/dryer, and a 50/50 fridge freezer. Three steps take you to the living room, which opens onto the patio and garden area. The unspoiled view from the living room is often likened to a Constable painting. Upstairs, the mezzanine area above the living room features a sofa bed and easy chairs, perfect for bird watching. The cottage is thoughtfully designed for two families, with two bedrooms and a bathroom on one side and two bedrooms and a shower room on the other. The living room offers a TV, DVD player, and a selection of books, games, and puzzles for your enjoyment.

Churn Cottage - Sleeps 4

This spacious, ground-floor, two-bedroom cottage is perfect for those with limited mobility or families with small children. It is also suitable for assisted wheelchair users (see Churn Cottage's access statement for details). The well-equipped kitchen/diner includes a dishwasher, washer/dryer, 50/50 fridge/freezer, microwave, and electric oven and hob. The bathroom features a large walk-in shower with a luxurious showerhead, underfloor heating, and a heated towel radiator. It also includes a wall-hung wash basin, modern non-slip tiles, and grab rails. The living room offers a TV, DVD player, and a selection of books, games, and puzzles. Double doors open to a patio area with table, chairs, and a charcoal BBQ, where you can enjoy views of the river and fields where the farm’s cows and sheep graze.

The Stables - Sleeps 7

This modern barn conversion features a ground-floor double bedroom with exposed beams and an en suite wet room, which includes a large walk-in shower and grab rails, with wheeled shower chairs available if needed. The spacious kitchen/diner is fully equipped with a 50/50 fridge freezer, electric oven and hob, full-sized dishwasher, and microwave. The living area has double doors that open to a patio with garden furniture and a charcoal BBQ. Upstairs, there is a spacious triple bedroom with a double and single bed, a double en suite bedroom, and a family bathroom.

The Cart Shed - Sleeps 5

As you enter the airy hallway of The Cart Shed, oak doors lead to a king bedroom with fitted wardrobes, a dressing table, and an en suite wet room. Opposite is a spacious family bedroom with a double and single bed, fitted wardrobe, and en suite shower room. Both bedrooms feature oak sliding shutters that echo the original design. Upstairs, amidst the original Queen post trusses, is a bright living space with a sofa, easy chairs, smart TV, DVD player, dining area, and a fully equipped kitchen with a 60/40 fridge freezer, electric oven and hob, dishwasher, washing machine, and microwave. This cottage combines original beams with modern comforts, including open-plan upstairs living and underfloor heating throughout.

The Area

Sambrook is a small picturesque village in between the historic market towns of Newport & Market Drayton on the border of Shropshire & Staffordshire. We are very close to the renowned Harper Adams Agricultural College and Lilleshall National Sports Centre. Telford is our closest big town (15 mins) and boasts an array of activities including indoor shopping centre, ice rink, bowling alley, multi screen cinema, Telford town park and Horsehay Golf Club. Another 5 minutes down the road is the heritage site of Ironbridge, once the centre of the industrial world and now a beautiful town with a variety of local history museums and of course the world famous Ironbridge. Shrewsbury, the Royal Air force museum at Cosford and Hawkstone Park & follies are approximately 30 minutes’ drive away.
