Hurstone House is a very special and very welcoming country house with the most stunning views across rolling hills and valleys of Somerset and Devon. A wonderful rural retreat within easy reach of Exmoor National Park and the North Somerset coast plus walking trails on its doorstep. Originally a farmhouse dating back to the 14th Century, the house has been sympathetically improved and restored over the years to provide a charming and comfortable family home in a truly beautiful location. Hurstone is furnished with character and charm and is so clearly loved by its owners. The attention to detail and generosity of comfort delights guests of all ages.

The house sleeps 14 in 7 bedrooms, 2 cots are available free of charge. There are 5 bathrooms upstairs and an additional ground floor shower room. Hurstone is enjoyed throughout the seasons ; it has ample outdoor space to enjoy in the summer and enchanting fireside evenings in the Winter. The snooker room and outdoor hot tub are enjoyed every season. The large sitting room is great for socialising and the second ‘snug’ sitting room perfect for a quieter moments. Hurstone’s warmth and cosiness is enhanced by its (3) woodburners (logs provided), comfortable rooms, wonderful views, terrace, lawns and outdoor Hot Tub. There is also the option of an additional bedroom with ensuite wet room (the annexe) available at an extra cost of £200 for a short break should an 8th bedroom be required.

With a snooker table, a well stocked games cupboard, a hot tub, fabulous views plus a nature reserve and gastro pub within walking distance, your visit is well catered for, and on the subject of catering; the kitchen is well equipped making cooking for large groups an easy pleasure. The dining room (with table seating 14) lends itself very well to formal and informal dining .

Hurstone is well suited for short breaks whatever the season or occasion: It offers the ideal place for get-togethers, walking holidays and family ‘staycations’. Perfect for making memories. Weekend breaks of 3 and 4 nights are especially popular.
