The George at Donyatt is a traditional country pub in Donyatt, offering delicious home-cooked food and charming guest rooms. Located in Somerset, just outside Ilminster and on the edge of the Blackdown Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, we are conveniently situated off the A303, close to the M5, and a short drive from Chard and Taunton. Our location is ideal for visitors from across the South West and beyond. We offer a warm welcome, real ales, local ciders, and locally sourced produce in a relaxing and friendly atmosphere.

We have two lovely double rooms and a twin room:

Room 1 features a super king-sized bed, which can also be configured as twin beds. It has an en-suite shower room and toilet, a remote-controlled TV and a desk with a tea and coffee station and kettle. The views from the window overlook the thatched houses on the main street of Donyatt.

Room 2 boasts a king-sized bed and an en-suite bath with a shower over, toilet and sink. It also includes a remote-controlled TV, a desk with a tea and coffee station and kettle, and beautiful views of the 13th-century church and the hills.

Room 3 is a twin room that can be transformed into a super-king double. It features an en-suite shower room with a toilet and sink, a remote-controlled TV on an adjustable wall mount and a desk with a tea and coffee station and kettle. The views from the windows overlook our lovely garden area, as well as the hills and fields.

We offer a fantastic breakfast menu that will set you up for the day, including Full English Breakfast, Kippers, Smoked Salmon on Toast with Crushed Avocado, or Toast with Jam or Marmalade.

The George at Donyatt has an extensive menu offering great food at reasonable prices, along with our daily specials board, lunchtime offers, homemade desserts and a fabulous Sunday menu. We offer a selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes and cater to dietary requirements.
