We are the perfect place to escape from the pressures of modern life, with gorgeous wildlife dotted around the retreat. Our unique treehouse offers a truly magical holiday in a breathtaking location. The Bird House is a stilted treehouse in the woodland and was voted by The Times as one of the top UK Glamping sites. You enter the site through a gate in the Hornbeam hedge and find a clearing alive with birdsong. The Bird House stands at the far edge on its tree trunk stilts. It’s clad in local Cedar and the first thing you see is a giant bird box with its large round window. A wide staircase nestled between the trees leads you up onto the relaxing decking area, a lovely spot for a morning coffee whilst savouring the woodland view.

The treehouse is luxuriously furnished and comes with a high vaulted ceiling with flowing curved walls and roof, lit by windows that frame views of the trunks and leaves outside. The treehouse has been meticulously designed in every aspect to offer the most comfortable stay possible. You can bathe yourself under a rain head shower in the morning and then cook breakfast in the fully equipped kitchen. The bespoke kitchen is well-equipped and clad in 80-year-old boards reclaimed from the parachute regiment Nissan huts on Salisbury Plain. A handmade dining table is perfect for enjoying some home-cooked delights on and you can relax in the lounge which comes with a comfy sofa. You even get your own personal hot tub nestled in the trees.

The Woodland Sauna offers guests the perfect way to feel re-energised and rejuvenated in a breathtaking setting. The physiotherm infra red sauna offers better health benefits than a regular sauna and is more soothing to use as it heats your body and not the air temperature. Whilst feeling revitalised in the sauna, you savour the wonderful woodland views whilst listening to relaxing music. We even have an outdoor shower to use afterwards.

We are around a mile from the award-winning Gastro pub, The Lord Poulett Arms in Hinton St George, two miles from Waitrose and the leisure centre in Crewkerne, and 30 minutes by car to Lyme Regis and the iconic Jurassic Coast.
