Old Rectory Coach House offers self catering accommodation in Sampford Brett, Taunton in rural Somerset. We are ideally situated in the heart of Sampford Brett - a tranquil and pretty village, nestling between Exmoor, the Quantock Hills and the Somerset coast. It is truly the perfect place for a short break!

Farm View:

Farm View is graded by Visit England as 3*. It provides bright spacious accommodation and is fitted to a high standard with comfy beds, fitted carpets, modern bathroom and country pine furniture. There is central heating throughout that keeps the property snug and warm even in the depths of winter.

Farm View has a spacious double bedroom with plenty of room for a cot which we can provide on request. The second bedroom is smaller and has bunk beds which are 3 foot wide. Both bedrooms have a wardrobe, chest of drawers and bedside tables.

The large, bright lounge has a comfy settee, matching bed-settee (which will sleep an extra 2 people), dining table and coffee table. There is a wall mounted TV smart TV. Internet access is available for a nominal charge.

There is a kitchen area off one end of the lounge (an L-shaped room) which is fully equipped with cooker, fridge, microwave oven, toaster etc.

The modern bathroom has a bath/shower, toilet, washbasin, shelving and heated towel rail.

The Elms:

The Elms is graded by Visit England as 4*. It provides bright spacious accommodation and is fitted to a high standard with comfy beds, fitted carpets, modern bathroom and country pine furniture. There is central heating throughout that keeps the property snug and warm even in the depths of winter.

The Elms has two double bedrooms; each has a wardrobe, chest of drawers and bedside tables.

The large, bright lounge has a comfy settee, sprung beechwood chairs, dining table and coffee table. There is a wall mounted 32" flatscreen smart TV. Internet access is available for a nominal charge.

There is a kitchen area off one end of the lounge (an L-shaped room) which is fully equipped with ceramic hob, oven, fridge, microwave oven, toaster etc.

The modern bathroom has a bath/shower, toilet, washbasin, shelving and heated towel rail.

The Stables:

The Stables is a large, ground floor self catering apartment with easy access. There are two bedrooms - a double and a twin bedroom (which can be made into a double), and also a sofa bed in the sitting room.

The spacious lounge has a settee and armchairs, dining table and Smart TV.

The well equipped kitchen has a dishwasher, washine machine/drier, cooker, fridge, microwave, freezer etc.

The Stables has good access and is very suitable for the less able and young children. There are no steps inside and there is a short ramp from the parking area (or two steps).

Our outdoor swimming pool is open from May until September at this self catering accommodation. It is a little distance from the entrance of the Elms and Farm View and is surrounded by walls and a high trellis. The gate has a high latch to restrict access by wandering children, but we do ask parents to be vigilent at all times and to accompany children when they are in the pool area.

We also have a play area for children to explore. There is a climbing frame with two swings, slide, climbing wall and fort. You will also find a trampoline, swing ball and various other toys. The main lawn also provides enough room for badminton, ball games and croquet.

Sampford Brett is a pretty and tranquil village nestling between the beautiful Quantock Hills and Exmoor. It has a Norman church, fine 18th century cottages and a pretty stream meandering through. It is ¾ of a mile to Williton, which has a full range of shops, pubs, an Indian Restaurant and a station on the West Somerset Steam Railway. The coast is within 2 miles and there are many lovely walks and cycle rides direct from the village.

Pets are welcome, £15 per pet per week.
