Court Farm in Exford offers three well-equipped, dog-friendly self-catering cottages. Whether you enjoy walking, horse riding, cycling, or simply want a peaceful rural escape, these cottages provide an ideal base to explore the beauty of Exmoor National Park.

Mountain Ash

Mountain Ash offers a spacious and comfortable retreat, featuring a large lounge with leather sofas, a flat-screen TV and a wood burner (bring your own login for subscription services like Netflix). The well-equipped kitchen/diner includes an electric cooker, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and washing machine, with hot water and central heating controlled by a kitchen boiler. Upstairs, you'll find a double bedroom with a flat-screen TV, a twin bedroom and a shared bathroom with a shower cubicle; both bedrooms also have their own wash basins. Well-behaved dogs are welcome downstairs only, with a provided dog gate and optional dog-minding service available if needed. The stable-style back door opens to a fenced private garden with a lawn, garden furniture, and a rotary washing line.

Rowan Cottage

Rowan features a spacious lounge with leather sofas, a Smart Freeview TV and a log burner (bring your own login for subscription services like Netflix). The well-equipped kitchen/diner includes an electric cooker, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and washing machine, with hot water and central heating managed by a kitchen boiler. Upstairs, there is a double bedroom with a flat-screen TV, a twin bedroom and a shared bathroom with a shower cubicle, both bedrooms having their own wash basins. Well-behaved dogs are welcome downstairs only, with a provided dog gate and optional dog-minding service available if needed. The stable-style back door opens to a fenced private garden with a lawn, garden furniture and a rotary washing line, making it a perfect retreat for both relaxation and exploration.

Snowdrop

Snowdrop features a ground-floor lounge with a sofa, dining table, log burner and Smart Freesat TV (bring your own login for streaming services like Netflix). The kitchen includes an electric cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer and washing machine. Upstairs, you'll find a comfortable double bed and an en-suite bathroom with both bath and shower facilities. Outside, Snowdrop boasts a secure garden with a small patio and raised lawn area. Well-behaved dogs are welcome downstairs, with a dog gate provided to prevent access to the upper floor.

All of our cottages are non-smoking and the price includes bed linen, electricity and central heating. A starter pack of logs and kindling for the log burner is provided, with additional wood available for purchase at £2.50 per bucket, or you can bring your own. Towels (face, hand, and bath) can be hired for £5 per person per week. Dogs are welcome for £18 per week or £3 per night for shorter stays and we can arrange to purchase dog food in advance at cost plus 5% if requested when paying your balance. Free parking is available near the cottages, with space to accommodate horse trailers for guests bringing horses.

Court Farm welcomes horse riders with their own horses. Bookings must be made directly via phone, email, or social media to avoid overbooking. We accommodate up to two stabled horses year-round and two additional for turnout only (May–Sept, weather permitting). Transport is limited to 7.5-tonne lorries due to narrow lanes and parking.

Then in the evening, put your warm clothes on and head out to enjoy the breathtaking views of the night sky. On clear nights from Court Farm you can see thousands of stars with the naked eye, compared with just a couple of hundred in built up areas because of light pollution. You can easily see planets, constellations and even the International Space Station when it passes overhead. Exmoor is an International Dark Sky Reserve and if you are an experienced astronomer with your own equipment we have a fenced flat area on the slope above the stables at the back of the house.
