The Dog and Patridge Country Inn at Bordhill in South Yorkshire is family run and provides guests with a place where they can rest, recuperate and replenish. We are open all year round and are a traditional country escape for all who visit. Within comfortable driving distance, you can reach many attractions and places of interest, including the popular city of Sheffield.

Our guest rooms are in the old barn, adjoining the inn. The barn dates to the 18th century and has been carefully converted into stylish accommodation. Where possible many original features have been retained, whilst providing guests with modern amenities. All rooms include:

Breakfast is included within the room rate and is cooked fresh to order in a morning. We have a varied breakfast menu available to suit all tastes and appetites. Our bar and restaurant are open to both residents and non-residents. Enjoy a range of locally sourced hand-pulled cask beers sourced from Acorn, Abbeydale and Bradfield brewery, in front of an open log fire. With traditional oak beams and nostalgic photographs that give the bar a warm feeling of days gone by.

In addition to these, we have a varied selection of gins inclusive of Slingsbury Rhubarb Gin, Opihr Oriental Spiced, Puerto of Indias Strawberry Gin and Sir Robin of Locksley Gin which is forged in Yorkshire.

The Dog and Partridge has been famous for its traditional sing-a-longs for over 40 years that take place every Saturday evening. The resident organist, Jean, accompanies the singers who sing old music hall songs, songs from the second world war era and more. Everyone is welcome to come and join in.

We are conveniently located for the major cities of Manchester (30ml) and Sheffield (14 ml), making it an ideal choice for the business and tourist visitor alike.

The M1 and M6 road networks are easily accessible in either direction along the Woodhead Pass.
