Situated between Thornhill and Callander amidst 188 acres of private woodland and pasture, The Lodge offers fantastic self catering accommodation for up to 12 adults and 2 infants. Designed by Swedish architect Märtha Wachtmeister, The Lodge blends Scottish vernacular with Scandinavian elegance. Built in 2010 on a historic site, its timber-framed structure with a stone façade under a slate roof showcases Danish double-glazed windows, reflecting the interior's Scandinavian theme.

Inside, the spacious L-shaped layout includes three double bedrooms (two en-suite), additional shower and utility rooms and a central boot room. The open plan living area boasts a kitchen, dining space and casual lounge with log burner and two double sofa beds. A graceful staircase leads to a lavish lounge with forest green velvet sofas and a wood-burning fire, offering views of the surrounding deer and stags.

The lodge includes a fully equipped kitchen with a range cooker, American-style fridge/freezer, and essential amenities. What sets us apart from most self-catering properties is our extensive food service. Treat yourself to our 'Chef & Shepherd Suppers', a luxurious 5-course à la carte dining experience featuring the same menu from our former 5-star guest house, Woodcroft House, voted best guest house in Scotland by the Good Hotel Guide 2022. Alternatively, enjoy convenience with our 'Heat & Eat' menu, offering delicious meals ready to be heated in your oven upon arrival.

On the same floor, the expansive master suite features an en-suite bathroom with ‘his and her’ basin units, a large walk-in shower and a luxurious double-ended freestanding bath. The bedroom includes a super king bed and single sofa bed, with a walk-in wardrobe shared with the adjacent twin room. Enjoy breathtaking views through the glass gable end, offering glimpses of our majestic deer and stags. Accessible via a private staircase, the fifth bedroom offers a carpeted space with a super king bed and its own en-suite bathroom featuring a vanity unit and a double-ended bath with a hand-held shower. All beds in the lodge can be split into singles for flexibility.
