The historic spa town of Bridge of Allan offers a great base from which to explore Scotland. A bustling village vibrant with shops and restaurants it is particularly well positioned for exploring the beautiful lochs and countryside of Scotland's first National Park in the Trossachs. A lively arts centre and extensive sports facilities are highly recommended in the beautiful grounds of Sirling University a 10 minute walk from Stanley house. The village has its own train station offering regular trains to Edinburgh, Glasgow and Perth - all within 1 hour and Inverness and the Highlands within 3 hours.

Local river and woodland walks are plentiful and the area abounds with historic sites including the Wallace Monument, Stirling Castle, and Bannockburn Heritage Site.

The village has it's own golf and tennis clubs and the courses at Gleneagles, St Andrews and Carnoustie are all within easy reach.
