For a peaceful, relaxing and truly special countryside escape, Hidden Meadows is the perfect destination. Set within 25 acres of wildflower meadows, ancient woodland and historic countryside dating back to Saxon times, this secluded glamping site in the heart of rural Suffolk offers a tranquil retreat away from the hustle and bustle of city life, without sacrificing comfort.

Situated within the meadow, our three luxury safari tents are thoughtfully spaced approximately 150 feet apart, providing privacy and stunning views of the surrounding fields and woodland. Each tent boasts its own private facilities, ensuring complete convenience and exclusivity, unless you choose to share. Individually furnished in unique styles, every tent offers a charming and cosy escape into nature.

The Jenny Wren

Our Jenny Wren Safari Lodge, designed with a charming woodland theme, comfortably accommodates 6-8 guests with a king-size four-poster bed, one double bed, two single beds and an optional double pull-out sofa bed. Please note that dogs are not permitted in this lodge.

The Kingfisher

The Kingfisher Safari Lodge, designed in a charming Victorian cottage theme, accommodates 4-6 guests with one double bed and two single beds, with the option to add 1 double pull out sofa bed if needed. Up to two well-behaved dogs are welcome in this lodge; please contact us directly to arrange for your furry companions to join your stay.

The Nightingale

The Nightingale Safari Lodge, featuring charming shabby chic décor, comfortably accommodates 6-8 guests with two double beds, two single beds and an optional double pull-out sofa bed. Please note that dogs are not permitted in this lodge.

Bell Tents

We offer two 5m Bell Tents for hire exclusively when booking the entire site and accommodating more than 22 guests. Each pre-erected tent is ready upon arrival and includes a full-size coir mat, single inflated air beds, thick duvets and pillows with quality linen, towels, a small table, a rechargeable lantern, fairy lights, indoor and outdoor mats and an outdoor lidded box for shoes, ensuring a cosy and comfortable stay.

Onsite Facilities

During your stay you can create your own pizzas and cook them to perfection in the wood-fired pizza ovens, which take just minutes and deliver a delicious, authentic flavour. There is also a small gas powered cooker and fridge. If you prefer, fire up the charcoal BBQ and enjoy a mouthwatering feast under the open sky.

For the ultimate relaxation, each safari tent has its own private, wood-fired hot tub for hire, the perfect spot to soak in the warm water with a glass of bubbly while watching the sunset behind the trees. As night falls, gaze up at the clear sky and marvel at the stars and moon. Ideal for group bookings or hen parties, the hot tub offers a luxurious way to enjoy some downtime with friends and loved ones. Available as an optional extra.

Our site also offers a variety of exciting activities for the whole family to enjoy including fishing, den building and exploring the enchanting fairy village.

Hidden Meadows is suitable for group bookings eg for birthdays, small weddings, gentle hen parties etc looking for a relaxing get together close to nature with good food, drinks, laughter and music. We also have a large safari tent as a gathering place for our group bookings. If you are looking for a loud, noisy amplified music type of party then we are probably not for you! Please note it is a requirement to book the whole site for large group bookings. We do not accept Stag parties.

Visiting the Area

We are just a 7 minute drive from our nearest beach and just a 25 minute drive from Southwold. We also have a Lido in Beccles, just a 10 minute drive away. Nearby there is a fantastic local pub called The Swan that serves delicious seafood. There is so much to see and do in the area, including:

If bringing a pet, please advise when booking. Up to 2 dogs welcome in two of the safari tents by arrangement, £22 per dog, per stay.
