High Lodge Holiday Lodges are set within 120 acres of tranquil woodland and picturesque Suffolk countryside, offering a choice of traditional and luxury self-catering accommodation. Ideally located just a short drive from the popular coastal towns of Southwold and Aldeburgh, as well as the renowned RSPB Minsmere reserve, the lodges provide a peaceful rural escape while remaining close to some of Suffolk’s most celebrated attractions.

Guests can choose from three distinct lodge settings across the site. The Lakeview and Waters Edge lodges overlook a well-stocked fishing lake, creating a relaxing waterside setting, while the Claywood lodges enjoy open countryside views and are conveniently situated near the on-site facilities. In total, there are 19 lodges, each offering a scenic and comfortable retreat with easy access to the clubhouse and leisure activities.

Each lodge features one, two or three bedrooms, accommodating between two and six guests, and includes a fully equipped kitchen, comfortable living area and complimentary Wi-Fi. Private balconies with outdoor furniture allow guests to make the most of the surrounding views, whether across the lake or rolling countryside. The lodges are non-smoking and both the Waters Edge and Claywood lodges benefit from private outdoor hot tubs, adding an extra touch of luxury to your stay. With opportunities for fishing, shooting and archery on site, High Lodge provides an ideal base for relaxing breaks and countryside adventures throughout the year.

In and around Hinton, near Darsham in Suffolk, there’s plenty to discover for visitors who enjoy wildlife, coast and local culture. Just south of Darsham you can explore the tranquillity of Darsham Marshes, a nature reserve managed by Suffolk Wildlife Trust with marshland, ponds and birdlife. A little further afield is RSPB Minsmere, one of the UK’s premier birdwatching reserves where you can see a wide range of species across diverse habitats including reedbeds and heathland. The nearby Westleton Heath National Nature Reserve offers open heathland, sandy paths and coastal views, while the seaside town of Southwold with its iconic Southwold Pier and Southwold Beach is perfect for a classic Suffolk day out. History enthusiasts can visit Framlingham Castle a short drive away and there are local museums such as Saxmundham Museum and Dunwich Museum for insights into regional heritage. For outdoor activity, the surrounding countryside and coast provide excellent walking, birdwatching and scenic drives
