Puttenham Barn Bunkhouse near Guildford is the perfect base for individuals, families or groups actively exploring the Surrey countryside.

For sole use by a family, there is no lower age limit. We have a maximum of 11 spaces in a dorm-style room, separated into 3 sections with 8 bunk beds and 3 sleeping platform spaces. Onsite we also have a kitchen, a shower and toilets. Outside there is a garden with picnic benches, great for a coffee in the morning sun.

We have a limited number of sleeping bags and towels for hire. A sleeping bag with freshly washed linen is £3 per person per stay. A towel is £1 per person per stay.

The barn benefits from lots of sustainable features, including solar panels and rainwater collection for flushing toilets.

No cars are allowed on site. All other vehicles must be left at the roadside nearby. Entry onto our site is not allowed even for unloading, under the terms of our lease. If you have limited mobility and need to bring a vehicle, please contact us first.

Please note, the barn is not suitable for loud groups as we are in a rural setting with neighbours.

Nearby, there is a local village pub. The area also has lots of wonderful walking and cycling routes. See some interesting art at the Watts Gallery or visit the wonderful ruins at Waverley Abbey. You can also enjoy an interesting day out at the Rural Life Centre, near Tilford. Greyfriars Vineyard offers tours and swimming is available at the Godalming Leisure Centre.
