East Byermoor Cottages offers fabulous self catering accommodation near the delightful town of Whickham. The two cottages are just 5 miles from Newcastle upon Tyne and in the ideal location for discovering all that Tyne & Wear has to offer.

Both of our beautifully furnished cottages were formerly part of the Gibside Estate and now offers high-quality accommodation in a scenic setting. The cottages boast lovely home comforts and a variety of facilities to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The cottages share an enclosed garden with a table and chairs, perfect for al fresco dining whilst admiring the breathtaking countryside views. A shared courtyard with outdoor furniture and a BBQ is also available.

Fellstone Cottage:This wonderful ground-level stone-built cottage is nested within landscaped gardens. Inside there is a lovely lounge/diner with a toasty wood burner, a TV/DVD player, radio and CD player. Rustle up some delicious dishes in the fully-equipped kitchen which has an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. Please note there are 3 small steps up to the kitchen for anyone with mobility issues. A utility room comes with a separate washer & dryer. Two bedrooms are available: a super king size bed with en suite/and a family bathroom. A bathroom has an electric shower over the bath.

Eaststone Cottage: Our superb cottage offers glorious views over red kites in the fields opposite, offering your very own rural paradise. The ground-level property includes an open plan lounge/kitchen/diner to suit all your needs. The lounge has a TV/DVD, Wi-Fi and CD player, whilst the fully-equipped kitchen comes with a range of appliances for home-cooking: an electric oven and hob, a fridge with freezer box, a washer/dryer and microwave. A king size room and single bedroom share a bathroom with a large shower cubicle.

Discover the fascinating array of places of interest from the busy cities of Newcastle, Durham and Sunderland to the gentle landscapes of Northumberland and Weardale. Visit one of the largest shopping malls in Europe, the MetroCentre, or relax in the unspoiled coastline of Northumberland. History fans will love the Beamish Open Air Museum, whilst the whole family should head to Gateshead International Stadium or the Telewest Arena, fantastic venues for major regional, national and international events.
