Northcott Farm Rural Retreats are three beautiful holiday homes, just half a mile from Northcott Mouth near Bude. Our cottages are on Northcott Farm at Poughill and each enjoys fabulous countryside views leading to the ocean.

Guests are welcome to explore our working farm and are meet our residents, which includes our cows, pigs “Bubble, Timmy & Honey” our three ponies, “Bella, Maggie and Blackie” our horses as well as “Rosie” our donkey and “Milly” the goat. Less than 5 miles away, is our sister site “Court Farm”. Here there are another set of cottages, as well as a fantastic range of facilities, which you are welcome to use. The swimming pool is available to Northcott Farm guests between midday and 3 pm during peak season and school holidays to avoid overcrowding.

Our three holiday homes have been finished to the highest of standards and have been awarded 4 Stars by Visit England. Each cottage can be let individually or collectively, providing accommodation for groups of up to 27 people.

The Cabin – Sleeps 2: A romantic hideaway for couples, situated on our working farm at Northcott. Enjoying its own private with garden, with summerhouse and superb views. The Cabin is the perfect place for a luxury escape. With its stylish and cosy interior, and with many luxurious touches such as a jacuzzi bath and outdoor hot tub, The Cabin is the ideal base for a truly memorable holiday.

Little Northcott – Sleeps 8: This beautiful four-bedroom property is tucked away in a secluded corner of our working farm in the valley of Northcott. Perfect for large families or two families holidaying together. Little Northcott also has a large private enclosed garden with raised patio with luxury hot tub.

Lower Northcott Farmhouse – Sleeps 17: A stunning Georgian property that is perfect for larger group gatherings. With breathtaking views throughout, the property sleeps 17 and is the perfect place for a family reunion or celebration. The house has nine bedrooms – including an annexe with a double bedroom and snug for anyone in your party who wants a bit of added privacy – two lounges, wood-burning stoves and a heated cellar with pool table and an array of toddler toys.

You are welcome to bring your dog and make the most of the spectacular countryside literally on your doorstep – with acres of farmland, cliff top walks and gorgeous beaches, the area has it all. The coastal path and local beaches are just a walk away and the local pub is just under half a mile away.

Guests are close to many attractions and places of interest, so no matter what your interests are, the area has something for all:

The beaches offer unlimited fun, from swimming and paddling; to crabbing in the rockpools; scrambling over rocks, not forgetting the obligatory sandy picnics and ice-creams.

You can enjoy walking along the flat towpath, along the Bude valley from Marhamchurch to Bude, returning on the cycle path on the other side of the nature reserve.

The Bude Haven Recreation Ground near The Castle Bude has a super crazy golf course and tennis courts and, if the weather is poor there are indoor games such as table tennis, squash and pool.

A day out in Launceston affords several child-friendly places to visit, including Trethorne Leisure Farm. Here there are indoor and outdoor play areas with trampolines, climbing wall and ball pools. Kids will love being able to feed the animals and handle them in the supervised ‘in touch with animals’ sessions

The Launceston Steam Railway provides an exciting short trip for train enthusiasts and the line ends at New Mills Farm Park where morning or afternoon can be spent happily visiting the animals and playing in the huge field of ride-on cars and other toys.
