Hidden in the tranquil West Sussex countryside, two miles from the Historic town of Arundel, Lavender Lodge offers a quiet retreat for two. This cosy lodge sits next to the Owner’s 400 year old cottage in the charming hamlet of Wepham boasting a stunning location within the South Downs.

Designed to accommodate a couple, Lavender Lodge is approached via a short set of five steps equipped with a handrail. Inside, the Lodge is conveniently arranged on one level.

The kitchen of Lavender Lodge is thoughtfully equipped with single oven, 4-ring hob, fridge, microwave, coffee machine, kettle and toaster. Whilst Lavender Lodge is a self-catering establishment, guests receive some complimentary provisions on arrival and the kitchen is stocked with some everyday basics (tea, coffee, sugar, condiments and cleaning products) for their use.

The Lodge features an elegantly furnished open-plan layout with air conditioning in a living area containing a super king bed (which can be converted to twin beds on request), a sitting/dining area with a flat screen TV, a separate, well-appointed kitchen and a spacious shower room.

Guests can expect quality mattresses, crisp white linen, large fluffy white towels and luxury toiletries. Beach Towels are available upon request.

Via “the Mews” guests have access to a separate utility room (shared with the owners) containing washing machine, tumble dryer and some freezer space. The Mews also provides access to the Garden which offers a private guest patio overlooking the countryside with seating and a BBQ for those balmy summer evenings.

Parking for one vehicle is provided on the driveway in front of The Lodge; an additional parking space can be available on request.

Just a short walk across the fields brings guests to the picturesque village of Burpham, home to the stunning 11th century village church and The George at Burpham, a country pub offering great food and local ales.

Lavender Lodge is the perfect starting point for exploring the South Downs National Park with its stunning countryside walks and cycle paths. The beautiful town of Arundel is just a short drive away but within walking distance for the fit and energetic! Nearby coastal towns and villages offer beach facilities and the Sussex county towns of Brighton and Chichester are within half an hour’s drive.
