Stag Cottage offers charming self catering accommodation in the quaint village of Heptonstall. The area is ideal for walkers and cyclists, with lots of stunning countryside to see in this part of West Yorkshire. You can visit nearby Hebden Bridge and the National Trust property, Hardcastle Crags, is close by.

Our beautiful cottage is brimming with character, dating from 1580. The Grade II Listed property comes with a range of wonderful original features, including stone mullioned windows, arched lintels, wooden beams and a king post truss with wattle and daub infill. The kitchen is also separated from the living area by a gorgeous beam.

The beautifully furnished cottage comes with a double room with a king-size bed on the ground floor which boasts glorious views over Hardcastle Crags to the hills beyond. A single bedroom is also available. There is also a bathroom understairs with a toilet, wash basin and shower.

On the first floor there is a delightful open plan living room with a fully fitted kitchen. Facilities include a TV with Freeview and a DVD/X Box and from the sash window you savour glorious views over the wooded valley.

Additional facilities available for guests includes an electric coal effect fire, radio/CD player, toaster, hair dryer, microwave, iron and ironing board and all bed linen/duvets.

The nearby town of Haworth has links to both the Bronte family and Ted Hughes and his wife Sylvia Plath, who is buried in the village church yard. The lovely town of Hebden Bridge is only a short stroll down the hill and has lots of independent shops, galleries, restaurants and cafes. Excellent attractions to visit include:
