Tyas Cottage provides self-catering accommodation in the peaceful Merrydale Valley, offering a perfect escape for up to six guests. Just a short drive from the village of Slaithwaite in West Yorkshire, this charming retreat is ideal for those looking to unwind and enjoy the tranquillity of the countryside, away from the stresses of everyday life.

Our cottage is at the end of a secluded cul-de-sac, offering a quiet and tranquil holiday home. There are 3 bedrooms that are made up for your arrival, 1 of the bedrooms is a standard twin, the second is a twin with an en suite bathroom and the master bedroom has a 4-poster bed with an en suite bathroom.

There is a spacious sitting room that has a wood-burning stove and is a great place to relax at the end of a busy day. The kitchen is perfect for cooking up a storm and comes with a range of appliances to suit all your needs.

Outside there is an award-winning shared garden to relax in on a summer’s day.

Tyas Cottage is close to numerous attractions, as well as, of course, the Moors and Pennine Way. Our cottage has walks starting from the front door and is easily accessible to many local attractions throughout West Yorkshire. You can walk along an ancient packhorse route that leads from close to Tyas Cottage through woodland to The Rose and Crown pub (and restaurant). Our holiday cottage is well suited for hiking and bird watching as there are many local walks on open moors or in sheltered valleys. Attractions to visit include:
