We are on an island. There is a passenger ferry (1 sailing per day) from Mallaig with Caledonian MacBrayne or Arisaig (summer only). Check Caledonian Macbrayne or Arisaig Marine ferry timetables before booking beds. For group bookings please enquire about transport.

Glebe Barn offers charming accommodation on the Isle of Eigg, nestled in the Inner Hebrides. We are perfect for a relaxing break in a beautiful area of the Western Isles.

Our 19th Century building has been tastefully converted to offer homely accommodation. We boast stunning views and a range of rooms to choose from.

We can accommodate up to 22 people, (twin room, two triple rooms, 6-bed dormitory and 8-bed dormitory), and there is a separate mezzanine apartment which can be let in conjunction with the hostel, sleeping 2 people which be booked for individual beds, rooms or exclusive use. There is a spacious lounge/diner area with a log fire, library and lots of games and jigsaw. The well-equipped kitchen comes with a range of appliances: a gas cooker, fridge, freezer, microwave, toaster, blender etc and a separate pantry. A laundry room comes with a washing machine and tumble dryer.

We are only 1 mile from the pier, home to a licensed cafe/restaurant, shops and craft shop. You can enjoy the local wildlife and enjoy the glorious beaches and coastal walks. Locally there is a traditional music scene.
