Ardhasaig House offers 4 star guest accommodation located on the Isle of Harris in the Western Isles. Our guest house is set against the backdrop of the Harris hills and enjoys spectacular views of the surrounding Hebridean landscape.

The guest accommodation in the main house comprises of 2 double bedrooms, 2 single bedrooms and 1 family room. All have en suite facilities with either a shower or a bath and shower. The guest rooms are tastefully appointed, with quality furnishings, some of which are genuine antiques. A small, detached stone lodge (‘The Barn’) offers additional accommodation for two people – further details are available on another part of the website. Your sense of seclusion from the stresses of the outside world is enhanced by the absence of television reception in the locality and all rooms are TV-free! However, rooms are equipped with CD players so that you can enjoy your favourite music as you sample your complimentary wine, tea or coffee.

Fine food, luxurious accommodation and exceptional service are the hallmarks of Ardhasaig House. The head chef uses local fisherman and butchers for the freshest source of ingredients whenever possible, daily bespoke menus are created with all dietary requirements catered for. All evening meals must be booked in advance.

Ardhasaig House is a licensed restaurant, so you can enjoy refreshments in the attractive, well-stocked bar before and after your meal. Just off the bar area is a comfortable lounge with its distinctive purple-tiled fireplace and a cosy fire. The lounge leads into a conservatory with stunning views towards Ben Luskentyre and the Sound of Taransay – a very popular location with guests on a summer evening. A seated area outside the conservatory provides the perfect vantage point to watch the sunset over West Loch Tarbert.

With ferry fares to the islands having dropped dramatically as a result of the RET (Road Equivalent Tariff) pilot scheme, there’s never been a better time to enjoy a relaxing break in this spectacular Hebridean setting.
