Temple View Hotel on the Isle of North Uist offers wonderful hotel accommodation, based in a lovely part of the Western Isles. Our family-run hotel is renowned for excellent food, superb bedrooms and a fantastic atmosphere, ensuring a memorable holiday experience. We are only a short stroll to the beach and close to a range of great attractions.

Our charming hotel is perfect for couples looking for a romantic getaway. We have ten spacious well-appointed letting bedrooms, each with their own en suite facilities. There are 4 single, 5 double/twin rooms and 1 family room, including one with disabled facilities. All rooms have tea and coffee making facilities, direct dial telephone, hairdryer and television. Some rooms to the front of the hotel offers glorious views over the small islands, whilst the rear rooms offer views of the moorland and hills.

You can savour the finest local produce at our hotel. Whether it’s shellfish from the Minch or salmon from both the North and South Uist, you will not be disappointed. We serve our wonderful dishes in the dining room, lounge bar and sun lounge, all accompanied by a meticulously chosen wine list.

After dinner, the sun lounge provided the perfect place to relax with a glass of wine whilst enjoying hr glorious views.

There are numerous sandy beaches on all these islands but only in North Uist, unique in the Western Isles, are there as many tidal islands accessible on foot at low tide, providing exciting destinations for family picnics or quiet, contemplative walks.

Temple View is conveniently located at the Southern end of North Uist, approximately 15 minutes’ drive from Benbecula Airport and a similar distance from Lochmaddy, with frequent car ferry services to and from Skye. It is an ideal centre for touring North and South Uist, Benbecula and Berneray. Day trips can easily be undertaken by car/passenger ferry to Lewis, Harris, and Barra.
