Golly Farm offers comfortable self-catering accommodation set in beautiful countryside near the village of Burton. Located close to Rossett in the county borough of Wrexham, the property provides a peaceful rural retreat that is perfect for escaping the pressures of modern life. Surrounded by scenic landscapes and open countryside, it offers an ideal base for a relaxing getaway, and guests can also benefit from the convenience of newly installed EV car charging.

The Cottages Holly & Oak

We have two barn conversions available, Oak and Holly, set in a rural location and offering views across the countryside. Each cottage comes with a range of facilities, plus some little luxuries too. Outside there is a paved patio area with a table and chairs for al fresco dining. Inside each cottage, there is a cosy living area with a stone fireplace, living flame gas fire, LCD TV and dining area. Well-equipped kitchen but why not treat yourself and eat out at one of our great nearby pubs. The master king-size bedroom includes an enclosed bathroom with a bath, 2 wash-hand basins and a separate large walk-in power shower.

The Studio

You can also stay in our charming studio which has a bed/sitting room with a king-size bed, an extra guest bed can be added, wireless internet access, kitchen with electric hob, oven, fridge, dishwasher, microwave, kettle and toaster; shower room with large shower, WC and basin.

Golly Cottage

The cottage features a well-appointed bedroom with a king-size bed, a smart TV and the option of an additional fold-out bed, along with a modern shower room that includes a spacious double shower (no bath). Inside, the cottage offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere with essential amenities such as superfast Wi-Fi, a smart TV, a cosy wood burner for relaxing evenings and a fully equipped kitchen for everything you need during your stay.

Guests are invited to relax on the patio area that overlooks a field, a perfect place to enjoy the peaceful surroundings on a beautiful day. There is also a six acre field available which is suitable for dog exercising.

Cottages on the same level but Golly Cottage has steps at the front door and between kitchen and living room.

Visiting the Area

Rural but not remote, there is easy access to the A483 and A55. We are only 8 miles from Wrexham and 10 miles from Chester, making us an ideal base for exploring the area. You can enjoy some local shopping opportunities in the village of Rossett or visit the countryside in the Vale of Llangollen, Clwydian Hills, Ceiriog Valley and the Snowdonia National Park.
